Shaka Shaka Squid Branding
Shaka Shaka Squid was a freelance opportunity I was approached with by Alex and Wilhelm, the owners of the start up food stand. They came to me for help after deciding to invest in setting up a BBQ squid stand at the Richmond Summer Nightmarket held every summer in British Columbia.
Their brief involved coming up with a design that was fun colorful interpretation of their squid mascot that would double as a logo. The artwork commissioned was to be displayed on banners around their booth. After meeting with them, I began sketching ideas and illustrating their vision. Working through several iterations we managed to come up with an impactful design and color scheme. Finally, the logo was printed onto t-shirts as their company uniforms.
